It's been awhile ...

Since last post Chelsea won The Europa League, Hazard left for Madrid & Sarri left too for Juventus. To no surprise after his baptism season at Derby, our former player 'Super Frank' Lampard was appointed our new manager.

After some encouraging friendlies, the Premier League started with 4 nil defeat at Old Trafford. Then a midweek date in Istanbul for The Super Cup against Liverpool. Despite a better performance a 2-2 draw after Extra-Time, we lost on penalties 5-4 sadly due to a Tammy miss. Then last Sunday we played Leicester City to welcome Frank home only to end up a 1-1 draw. Young Mason scored but not enough, did the team run out of steam ?

So Monday night went to the Bridge to watch the reserves - Development Squad play Liverpool. The team included to help recovery defender Rudi & striker Michy who scored 2 goals in a 3 nil win. Then on Wednesday went again to watch Frank's Open Training session, shame at the end the players didn't give 5 mins of their time like young Callum who went over to the kids for a few signatures.

Season's End 2019

Last Premier League game away to Leicester City tomorrow, like to see Chelsea finish 3rd above Spurs. Yes qualified for Champions League but more money, less games & the Spurs factor. Brendan's City in good form will the boys be knackered after Thursday night, so will Cahill get a full & final game for the Blues ?

So thanks to Kepa saves & 4 penalties Chelsea oft to Baku for Europa League Final against Arsenal. Stupid by money grabbing UEFA not to rearrange the location, sorry Baku 3,000 miles too far for 2 London teams.
